Ani Phyo is a best-selling author, wellness expert, superfood chef, holistic nutritionist, and NASM certified fitness trainer.
Ani is a USAPL Gold Medalist and is the world’s leading author on detox, superfoods, wellness, and fitness. She has written seven award-winning and best-selling books, including “Ani’s 15-Day Fat Blast”, “Ani’s Raw Food Essentials”, and “Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen,” awarded “Best Vegetarian Cookbook USA” by Gourmand International. She offers Mastery Raw Food and Detox Certification Courses to help people learn how to make delicious, healthy food at home and/or for business while providing guidance to students who wish to start their own small business in the wellness and natural product categories.
Ani is the host of Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen Show, the award winning #1 uncooking show on ‘YouTube’. She has been seen on many television shows including the Dr. Oz Show and Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. She has been featured in numerous magazines including Food & Wine, Food Network, BBC, Alternative Medicine, Oxygen, American Fitness, VegNews, Delicious Living, and Vegetarian Times.
Ani graduated from Cornell University where she majored in Business Management and Design & Environmental Analysis, with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. She studied International Business Management at Yonsei University and at Ewha University in Seoul, Korea. Her graduate level studies were in social psychology at SUNY Buffalo.
Ani works with the White House and the U.S. Surgeon General of the United States, Vivek Murthy, on initiatives for Asian American Pacific Islanders, and she is an ambassador for the Office of Women’s Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C. where she helps encourage women to make our health a priority. Locally, she works with the Los Angeles City Mayor’s Office advocating for healthy food.
Academically, Ani is an advisor to Loyola Marymount’s Entrepreneurship Program in the College of Business Administration and at the Executive Management Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. She is a Network of Korean American Leadership (NetKAL) Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Center for Asia Pacific Leadership.
Today, Ani lives in Southern California where she actively volunteers at non-profits like Ridgeback and Friends, Farm Sanctuary, Best Friends, and Donate Life, to name a few. She stays active outdoors biking and rock climbing, and also Slow Motion strength trains. Ani is currently developing a women’s health optimization program that includes what she calls Money Wellness, and is passionate about inspiring healthy living.
