Ani Phyo is an author, nutritionist, health coach, business consultant, TV host, and entrepreneur whose passion lies in designing and creating socially and environmentally aware communities around cutting-edge technology, immersive experiences, eco-green products, and healthy lifestyles.
Ani is the world’s leading author on detox, raw food, and wellness and has written six award-winning and best-selling books, including “Ani’s 15-Day Fat Blast”, “Ani’s Raw Food Essentials”, and “Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen,” awarded “Best Vegetarian Cookbook USA 2007″ by Gourmand International. She offers Mastery Raw Food and Detox Certification Courses to help people learn how to make delicious, healthy food at home and/or for business while providing guidance to students who wish to start their own small business in the wellness and natural food categories.
Ani graduated from Cornell University in 1990, where she majored in Business Management along with Design and Environmental Analysis, with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. She studied International Business Management at Yonsei University in 1989 and at Ewha University in 1987. In 1992, Ani studied Computer Art, Animation, and Social Psychology at SUNY Buffalo until she relocated to San Francisco in 1994. Ani is an Advisor to Loyola Marymount’s Entrepreneurship Program in the College of Business Administration, and is a Panelist for the Executive Management Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management where she is asked to provide feedback on student presentations and business plans. She is also a Network of Korean American Leaders (NetKAL) Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Center for Asia Pacific Leadership.
Today, Ani lives in Los Angeles with her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kanga, who she rescued 10 years ago. She enjoys volunteering, staying active outdoors, body building, power lifting, and kickboxing. Ani is developing plant-based protein snacks for SmartMonkey Foods, working on her next book, and planning projects for TV and Web.
